Description
This sequel to THE ACCIDENT begins several months after Bodger’s death. Chris has been unable to accept a new pet because he feels this would betray the memory of Bodger. His family encourages him to visit the local animal shelter to find a new dog, but he just can’t. But when he learns of an abandoned puppy loose in the neighborhood, Chris sets out to find him. After a long search, he discovers the pup huddled against the cold in a cardboard box. He immediately picks the puppy up and takes it home. Chris learns that in spite of sorrow and loss, one can go on living.
